Fitness Facility Opens — Shape Up for Summer

March 19, 2010 by Fremont Business Park

With spring arriving tomorrow, summer can’t be far behind — bringing its shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, and variety of swim fashions. If you’ve been postponing your fitness program, now’s the perfect time to start again with the opening of the Christy Street fitness center.

A full range of fitness equipment

Check it out in Building 42840! Access is via a code pad on the door. Once you’re inside, you’ll find a treadmill, elliptical machine, recumbent bicycle, and another cross-training machine. Plus, there’s cable crossover strength-training equipment, and several medicine balls.

Do you like to catch up on the latest business news or enjoy a little TV while you’re working out? Then, you’ll love the facility’s large flat screen television.

And to ensure your clients and co-workers won’t be overwhelmed by your “aura” of healthiness when you return to the office, there are separate men’s and women’s showers. With the fitness facility now open, you and your employees can get a good workout in and get back to business in less time.

Business interest remains strong

Plenty of interested businesses have been touring the Christy Street complex, and inquiries remain at high levels. Watch this blog for the announcement of new companies ready to move in soon.

Large & Small Spaces Going Fast at Christy Street

March 1, 2010 by Fremont Business Park

Businesses looking for office space at Fremont Business Park have a tantalizing menu to choose from. Got a small appetite? Try our 508 sq. ft. office that won’t weigh down your monthly budget. Need to feed a growing company? May we recommend our 3,277 sq. ft. office suite — or perhaps something closer to 5,000 or even 10,000 sq. ft. of space for the heartiest appetites?
Okay, so Christy Street isn’t a five-star restaurant — but it does offer businesses looking for high-quality Fremont office space a healthy selection of options to nurture their company’s growth. And for dessert, there’s our sweeping $2 million renovation — scheduled to be completed in April — which is transforming the offices into like-new space.

One Moving In, Another Moving Up
The newest business to sign a contract at Christy Street is Uniforce Sales & Engineering, which will occupy 2,763 sq. ft. in 42501 Albrae, Suite 210. Uniforce Sales and Engineering specializes in image acquisition, processing, and video recording for industrial, medical, scientific, and military applications. For more than two decades, they have supplied their customers with everything from video cameras and lenses to the image-processing  software needed for sophisticated solutions.

While Uniforce Sales & Engineering is getting ready to move in,  JCC Alliance Network is moving up — more than doubling its space from 2,612 sq. ft. in 42808 Christy St., Suite 103 to 6,045 sq. ft. in the same building, Suite 101. JCC Alliance Network uses financial education as well as a variety of unique products and services to help clients create wealth and achieve their financial goals.

Broker Activity Increasing
While there are still plenty of offices to choose from in the three-building complex, the number of brokers touring businesses through Christy Street seems to have increased dramatically the past few weeks. Borelli Investment Company, which manages and markets the complex, is currently running a promotion that offers brokers the opportunity to earn a one-of-a-kind exotic car experience through Club Sportiva — the nation’s largest and most established automotive timeshare company. Winning brokers get to drive six different exotic cars — one after the other — during a great day on Bay Area back roads, with a gourmet picnic lunch included. Businesses or brokers who are interested in learning more about Christy Street should contact Anna Mcquillan Rose, or call (408) 550-4826. DRE #01368576

Another New Tenant Welcomed at Christy Street

February 16, 2010 by Fremont Business Park

Fremont Business Park at Christy Street continues to be the talk of the town — before its $2 million renovation is even complete. The latest business to move to Christy Street is Tristero Consulting, which is doing business as Codeminders.
Codeminders works with companies that need programming services for almost any type of application: mobile apps, instant messaging systems, email or search apps, content syndication systems (RSS), billing and payments, semantic web or social networks. Codeminders can also help with developing a new Facebook app or new Widget. Or they can assist businesses that need to integrate into a Web 2.0 site using that site’s APIs. Codeminders programmers are comfortable with Python, MySQL, C++, Java, Linux, Web-based apps, kernel modules, rule-based systems, Internet protocols — and of course Windows and Mac OS.

You get the idea — if code of any type is involved, Codeminders can do it. The company has moved into 423 sq. ft. of space in Building 42840, Suite 230 at Christy. Drop in and say hi.

Smallest Spaces Almost Gone

All of the new small suites Borelli created at Christy Street as part of the renovation have now been occupied. In fact, today there’s only one unit of less than 600 sq. ft. remaining in the complex. There’s also a unit of around 700 sq. ft. and a good selection of offices of between 1,000 and 2,000 sq. ft. for smaller businesses that are growing fast.

Borelli is considering whether or not to create a few more suites of under 500 sq. ft. for the smallest business and professional firms. In the meantime, if you need high-quality office space at the gateway to Silicon Valley in southern Fremont, you need to contact Anna Mcquillan Rose right away at (408) 550-4826 or e-mail anna@borelli.com. Mark Your Calendars for the April 22nd Christy Street Ribbon-Cutting

February 10, 2010 by Fremont Business Park

Although it may seem like this wet winter will never end, spring — with its warm sunny days — isn’t far away. Once the weather improves, the contractor handling the $2 million renovation on the buildings, can finish the exterior work — including the parking lot — and then it will be time for the grand re-opening of Fremont Business Park at Christy Street.

So put this date on your calendar now…Thursday, April 22nd, starting at around 11:00 a.m., for the official ribbon-cutting ceremonies.

The invite list includes: Fremont city officials, representatives from the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the local press, Christy Street tenants, and prospective tenants. That should make it a good business-networking opportunity for everyone.

Take a Quick Run Down to the Fitness Facility

Although the Christy Street fitness center should be completed well before the ribbon-cutting for the complex, we’ll also hold the fitness facility’s official opening on April 22nd. Juan Torres, of Torres Fitness Training, will be on hand to demonstrate the proper use of the equipment and free weights. Juan is well known in the Bay Area, working with both prominent athletes such as Troy Tulowitzki of the Colorado Rockies, and many business men and women — as well as youth athletes.

Be sure to enter the drawing for a free fitness evaluation and personal training session with Juan. It’s a great prize if your New Year’s resolution for 2010 is to get into better shape. And look for periodic additions to this blog from Juan about fitness topics as the year goes on.

Construction Tidbits
The metallic awnings that will help dress up the building’s exterior should be installed by week’s end. Again, thanks for your patience during the renovation.

Happy Groundhog Day! And Another New Tenant Moves In to the Complex.

February 2, 2010 by Fremont Business Park

It’s Groundhog Day, and it was hard to decide whether to hope the groundhog saw his shadow today, or not. On the one hand, no one really likes the rain and cold. On the other hand, our reservoirs aren’t full yet — so six more weeks of winter probably wouldn’t be a bad thing. Well, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning, so zip up your coat — winter’s not over yet…

At Fremont Business Park at Christy Street — winter or not — we’re certainly not hibernating. Another new tenant moved in last weekend.

Cyber Security Works provides innovative solutions for securing business networks, enterprise applications, and web applications. Unlike solutions that rely on sampling to test your defense, Cyber Security Works uses patent-pending technology to simulate all possible hacker attack paths that could compromise networks and applications. The company then applies its advanced knowledge-mining techniques to analyze the results and guide customers toward the best protection. Don’t you feel safer already?
You’ll find Cyber Security Works in Building 42840, Suite 226. Drop by and meet Deepali Syed, VP of Sales for North America.

Schedule a Meeting in our Newly Refurbished Conference Room
The redesigned conference room in Building 42840 should be finished this week and ready for your larger meetings. The room will be equipped with a high-quality audioconferencing system — and there will be Internet access as well.

We’ll be able to start accepting online reservations in a few days. Watch this blog for the link to bookmark soon. Or you can contact Anna at (408) 453-4700 Ext. 123 for more information.

In addition to completing the conference room this week, all eight restrooms in Buildings 42808 and 42840 have now been totally redone. You’ll find granite countertops, new ceramic tile, and new toilets, partitions and accessories. Just part of our commitment to remake Fremont Business Park into first-class office space for your business.
