TEAM Christy Takes Exciting First Step

May 11, 2010 by Fremont Business Park

TEAM Christy held its first meeting last Thursday at 4:00 p.m. And judging from the reactions of the great group of people who gathered in the Christy Street conference room, the TEAM concept is going to be a winner at Fremont Business Park!

One-Third of Tenants Attend
The meeting was well-attended, particularly by the newer tenants in the office complex. Approximately one-third of the growing tenant list was on hand. And it soon became obvious why people were there.

It starts with connections — connections that give businesses of any size an edge in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

And a Borelli Investment Company Chairman Ralph Borelli spoke about plans for TEAM Christy, it became clear from the contributions made by group members that the potential was there for much more. TEAM Christy benefits will include:

      • Holding monthly meetings to let the attendees discuss common challenges and share strategies that are working

• Exploring joint marketing opportunities

• Learning about the latest ways to build their companies through options such as social media

• Attending educational workshops

• Even trying their hand authoring news for this blog — as LNT Solutions already has!

New Ideas Emerge
As individual TEAM Christy members were introduced, innovative new ideas began to flow. One member suggested that future meetings include “field trips” to learn more about member businesses.  That way, all TEAM Christy members would be better able to refer business to one another.

Another person suggested banner advertising on the Fremont Business Park website or blog site. Someone else mentioned the group would be a great place for marketing people in addition to business owners or CEOs. And there was definitely a lot of interest in having access to the TEAM Christy blog.

Let’s Do Lunch
Several members also said it might be better to meet over an extended lunch hour — after any morning crises have been handled, but before end-of-day issues pop up within their companies.

So that’s the plan: at the next TEAM Christy get-together, you’ll not only be able to chew on some good suggestions — but you’ll also be able to munch some lunch at the same time. Watch this space and your e-mail for upcoming announcements. And if you weren’t at the first meeting, don’t miss another opportunity to join this dynamic group.

TEAM Christy Kickoff This Thursday at 4:00 p.m.

May 5, 2010 by Fremont Business Park

Have you heard about TEAM Christy? If you were at the grand re-opening of the office complex a little over a week ago, you have. Or maybe you’ve bumped into Anna Mcquillan Rose recently, and she’s talked about it.

Here’s your chance to learn more about the group that is open only to Fremont Business Park at Christy Street tenants. And hear why similar groups Borelli Investment Company has started at two other office complexes in San Jose have become critical business enhancement tools for the owners and tenants there.

Introducing TEAM Christy

What is TEAM Christy? Let me start by telling you what it’s not.

  • It’s not a meeting where the building manager asks you if everything connected with building operations is okay (although often the building manager will be there if you need to talk to him afterwards)
  • It’s not a business group that starts out being free, and then you get asked to pay dues of $500 a year to be a part of it.
  • It’s definitely not a waste of your time as you work to make your business successful. In fact, it could be the best hour you spend all week.

TEAM Christy is a new benefit exclusively for the tenants here. The idea behind the TEAM Christy Building Business Network is you can do more as part of a team than on your own. So TEAM Christy will give you a golden opportunity to:

  • Meet your neighbors
  • Build valuable relationships
  • Patronize one another’s products and services
  • Discuss common challenges and brainstorm solutions together
  • Benefit from the additional brainpower provided by TEAM Christy’s support professionals, who are experts in marketing, communications, and design

Most importantly, you’ll learn. In TEAM Christy meetings, you’ll discover ways to make your business better — enhance strategies, marketing approaches, and sales methods. You’ll also learn how to apply new concepts, such as business social networking, more effectively. You’ll even get the opportunity to promote your products and services in this blog. Think of it— your name here!

And you’ll be connected into the TEAMS at other buildings Borelli manages — for additional networking opportunities and invitations to joint seminars on topics you can put to immediate use in your business.

What Are You Waiting For?

Have you registered yet for TEAM Christy’s first meeting? If not, why?

Tunebug Buzzes Into Christy Street on May 1st

April 19, 2010 by Fremont Business Park

A hot new technology company generating a lot of “buzz” — from the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to CNET — is Tunebug. And Tunebug is about to buzz its way into 1,293 sq. ft. of space in Building 42840, Suite 103 here at Fremont Business Park at Christy Street.

What’s all the buzzing about?

Tunebug makes small devices of approximately 1” x 2.5” that look like tiny speakers. Technically, they’re what Tunebug calls “sound generators”. Used with an MP3 player, rather than playing music or sound through the air, Tunebug devices can be attached to a surface such as a bike or snowboard helmet, or even a box or table. The object then becomes its own speaker, transforming sound vibrations into full-blown sound.

Tunebug currently offers two devices — the Vibe, which is available now; and the Shake, expected to be released in early May.
Tunebug will occupy its new space at Fremont Business Park on May 1st.

See You at the Grand Re-Opening

Don’t forget the grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the Christy Street office complex this Thursday, April 22nd, starting at 11:00 a.m. Enjoy a barbecue lunch, meet local government officials and business people, learn about the new high-speed fiber-optic Internet service Christy Street will soon offer, and enter the door prize drawings. You can also hear more about the new marketing and networking co-op, TEAM Christy Street — open to every tenant at Fremont Business Park at Christy Street. See you on Thursday.

To RSVP for the grand re-opening, e-mail Anna Mcquillan Rose, or call her at (408) 453-4700 x123.

The Word Is Getting Around — One Christy Street Tenant Refers Another

March 29, 2010 by Fremont Business Park

It’s often said that your best source of new business is your own customers. But does that hold true in commercial real estate? It certainly did last week when Cognate, Inc. — which was referred by existing Christy Street tenant P3 Solutions, Inc. — signed a lease to move into a new 508 sq. ft. office in Building 42808.

Cognate Provides People Solutions

Cognate is another one of those agile, tech-savvy companies with extensive experience in the design and implementation of IT-based, process-based, or outsourced solutions in staffing and related areas. Cognate not only provides the right technology platform, but it can also incorporate best practices and deliver its proven expertise to meet any objective — often on a tight timeframe and consistently on budget.

One big plus that’s attracted a lot of businesses to Cognate is its experience working with any of the leading people management platforms — including Oracle, Siebel, and SAP. The company also handles recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) in whatever way suits an organization’s needs.

Rewarding P3 Solutions

By helping to attract a new tenant to Christy Street, P3 Solutions — which specializes in the integration of business processes with information-oriented enterprise software solutions — gets several benefits.

As the office complex becomes an increasingly dynamic business community, it will attract more customers. And those customers may well end up doing business with more than one company located there. Think cross-pollination.

Secondly, Borelli Investment Company — which is managing Christy Street — provides referral fees to businesses that recommend other companies as potential tenants. So P3 Solutions benefits financially as well. Not bad for simply recommending Christy Street as a good place to work.
