Christy Street Welcomes Five New Tenants – Also Sees Three Renew and One Expand

February 14, 2011 by Fremont Business Park

Fremont Business Park at Christy Street has gotten off to a fast start in 2011, welcoming five new tenants and retaining four more – with one of those four more than tripling the space it rents at the three-building complex.

The attraction for most businesses seems to be Christy Street’s like-new space, convenient Fremont location and added amenities such as monthly meetings of the unique TEAM Christy business-acceleration and executive leadership group. Here’s a closer look at the nine tenants recently signing at Christy Street.

Moving In

The five new tenants, representing a diversity of businesses, all moved into Building 42808 Christy Street.

The Art Blossom
The Art Blossom is an innovative and creative business that celebrates kids and their art. The company provides commercial-grade vinyl wall panels printed with any kind of original art. The removable, reusable vinyl panels will cling to any plain or textured wall and are perfect for families with kids, students in dorm rooms or renters. The company also offers other items that can be decorated with art such as mouse pads, greeting cards and even canvas bags. Special programs are available for schools interested in using classroom art for fundraising programs.

FineArt Albums
FineArt Albums provides professional photographers with comprehensive design, print and binding solutions – specializing in working with wedding photographers to create unique albums for brides. Photographers can send images on a CD or via online file transfer, and FineArt Albums takes it from there. Albums are hand-bound; all photo prints are meticulously glued into place, and photographers or their customers have a wide choice of covers in many styles. Materials range from leathers to acrylics or metals – with gilding or imprinting. The company also offers special services such as custom framing or mounting on Gatorboard, Fome-Cor, Plexiglas, or other materials.

Legacy CPA
Vince Cortese, CPA recently established the main office for Legacy CPA Inc. at Fremont Business Park. Legacy CPA offers a broad range of services in tax, accounting, retirement, and insurance planning for both businesses and individuals. The firm’s principals strive to be highly proactive and build long-term relationships with clients – providing the highest level of service from offices in Fremont, Pleasanton and Albany.

Siteworks General Engineering
Siteworks General Engineering offers quality engineering and site preparation services including excavation, grading and slope work; underground utilities; pavement maintenance and overlays; seal coating and striping; asphalt and asphalt repair; and concrete work. The company handles projects throughout Northern California – including the Sacramento area – from its offices at Christy Street.

Wing Tech
Wing Tech is a Maryland-based management and technology consulting firm that has located its West Coast offices at Fremont Business Park. The company applies cutting-edge decision theory and advanced systems analysis and risk management techniques to help its clients identify, quantify and manage risks and opportunities. Wing Tech specializes in working with companies in the medical technology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, automotive, and aerospace industries.

Moving Up

Cognate
Cognate has relocated from 42808 Christy to 42840 Christy, more than tripling the space it rents in the process. Cognate provides end-to-end high-value IT staffing solutions for companies across the U.S. In addition, Cognate offers outsourced product development services for established independent software vendors (ISVs) and startups. The company also handles independent software testing, migration and support services.

Vote of Confidence

In addition to the above six tenants, Fremont Business Park recently signed lease renewals with three others located in Building 42840 Christy Street:

CoaguSense
CoaguSense has produced a groundbreaking new home care monitoring device for patients using the anticoagulant drug Coumadin®. With the CoaguSense system, a small finger stick is all that’s needed to produce a blood sample on a test strip – avoiding a trip to the blood draw lab or doctor’s office. The system’s metering device then reads the sample, and physicians can instantly make adjustments – minimizing the chance of clotting. CoaguSense offers the devices exclusively through Abbott and its network of distributors.

Cypher Media
Cypher Media is an online marketing firm that specializes in helping clients reach prospects and customers in channels such as organic search, paid search, display media, e-mail marketing, social networking, blogs, and affiliate marketing programs. The company carefully monitors where ads and messages are displayed and enforces best practices to ensure that all programs are compliant and adhere to SPAM regulations.

Dynatherm
Dynatherm Medical markets FDA-cleared products that take advantage of the body’s natural thermoregulatory anatomy to noninvasively manage the body’s core temperature. This helps avoid hypothermia during surgical procedures – from the pre-op holding area and the surgery suite to the post-anesthesia care unit. Using technology licensed from Dr. Dennis Grahn at Stanford University, Dynatherm has shown it can improve patient outcomes while decreasing healthcare costs.

Crystal Ball Gazing: Register Now for Fremont Economic Forecast

January 27, 2011 by Fremont Business Park

If you do business in Fremont, you already have a vital interest in the state of Fremont’s economy, as well as that of the Bay Area region at large. In either case, there’s a free event coming up that you can’t afford to miss.

Annual Economic Forecast
The City of Fremont will present its annual forecast regarding Fremont’s economy on Thursday, February 3rd. Brad Kemp of Beacon Economics – a Marin County and Los Angeles-based firm that specializes in qualitative and quantitative macroeconomic research and analysis – will be the featured speaker.

Thursday, February 3, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
Fremont City Hall, City Council Chambers
3300 Capitol Avenue
Fremont, CA 94538

Kemp is Beacon’s director of regional research and is an expert on California’s labor markets. So, if you want to know what’s going on with the state’s high unemployment rates and prospective hiring, Kemp’s presentation should be particularly enlightening.

The event will be especially important for commercial and residential real estate professionals as well as for businesses located within or considering a move to Fremont. Even though it’s free, you can’t just show up. To register, e-mail Kim Marshall or call (510) 284-4020.

Employees Can Take BART and AC Transit to Fremont Business Park

January 19, 2011 by Fremont Business Park

With the high cost of living in the Bay Area, many local businesses have difficulty finding the employees they need. Housing costs are often steep, and transportation can be both expensive and full of frustrating commutes.

A Bus Stop Right at the Corner
That is – unless your business is located at Fremont Business Park at Christy Street. Every 30 minutes or so, you’ll notice that the 212 AC Transit bus stops at the corner of Albrae and Christy. In other words, it’s like Fremont Business Park has its own personal bus service.

Where is the Southbound 212 AC Transit Bus coming from you ask? The Stevenson BART station. On weekdays, buses leave the BART station every 30 minutes from 5:53 a.m. until 8:23 p.m., stopping in front of the Christy Street office complex a little over 30 minutes later. Similarly convenient schedules run northbound to take employees back to BART.

And best of all, you don’t need to worry about rushing to the bus stop or having to wait 30 minutes for the next bus. From your PDA or laptop, you can click this handy bus tracker to see in real time when the next AC Transit 212 bus will arrive right at Fremont Business Park’s door! we’ve included a link to this bus tracker on the web site as well.

Tap Into a Plentiful, Skilled Labor Pool
The convenient access provided by BART and AC Transit enables companies located at Fremont Business Park to tap into an enormous pool of highly educated and skilled labor up and down the entire East Bay – or even into San Francisco or the Tri-Valley area, wherever BART reaches.

When you add this to Fremont Business Park’s other location benefits: convenient to 1-880; easy access to the East Bay, South Bay or even the Peninsula by car; close to entertainment, dining and shopping at the Pacific Commons shopping center, literally a walk down the street; a choice of dealerships for car service a little over a mile away at Fremont Auto Mall – it’s hard to beat Fremont Business Park for helping you attract and keep quality employees.

To learn more about what makes Fremont Business Park at Christy Street the perfect location for your business, contact Lee Jatta, or call (408) 520-2437 x140. DRE License #01828564

Many TEAM Christy members have asked about a shuttle service to the BART station. Please answer our poll question (in the right margin of the blogsite) or let Lee know your thoughts.
